How do you care for a car?

I do it and it brings more shine out. Thats when I said that I do this when I have nothing to do for a day and the car is sitting in the garage so it waont have the elements on it and the car is cool. That way when i take the wax off, its easy to come off and its shine is lovely

That'* it! I wax my car outdoors.. although not in direct sunlight, it does get some. I betcha the sun dries out the wax, making it impossible to wipe off.

Default care products

Though I use Meguires Gold for a great wax job, I use Wizards Mist N Shine after every wash. Just spray it on a cloth, wipe on and wipe off. Great shine, finish, and protection! Then all I need to do is use the California Duster on it! Of course I only pu 2k miles a year on my Bonne the last 4 yrs, so it doesn't need much polishing.

Letting the wax sit all night is bad. It sets too long, and is too hard. I've had problems leaving Gold Class on longer then 30 minutes, it gets chunky and clogs up the towel quick!

For beginning i'd do these steps.

Thourough wash
Clay Bar
Polish
Wax

Smile.
