Bandit, do you have any DIRECT evidence that this PARTICULAR brand/model is troublesome or short-lived? Or are we just going to general lump them all into the '* H I T' category together, regardless of the fact there there are almost certainly quality aftermarket kits out there?

Heres the think Guys and Willwren,

For one!

CC and I are NOT talking ****. You guys are the ones that are just going out and buying something WITHOUT checking and doing any research on the product you buy.
Look at all the Debunk myths and the fake HP and MPG products out there.
ALLOT of people buy them and ALLOT of people have no problems with them, untill you do some looking and wow, What do you know they suck or they are fake.

CC & and i along with EVERY PERSON on HIDplane.com has herd or see problems with all those CHEAP-O Ebay HID Kits.

Yes wren Most of the Kits are bad because they are not name brand ones.
Theres a BIG!!! reason why all the good HIDs are so much more $. It because they are allot better quality.

Wren I dont have to prove anything, There is a CRAP load of info and Good HID site out there, im not going to do the research for people that are not going to be leave me anyway. it not worth my time.

CC and I have post time and time again info and web sites with GOOD info on them on what to get and what Not to get.
There are plenty of people out there that have had problems with THOSE type of Cheap Ebay HID kits.

If you guys want to wastes time and money, go right ahead.
This wasn't only about Them not lasting its also about the Real HIDs are righter and better in light output then those cheap Ebay Kits.

This is the last time im going to try to help out with HID info and help, im just going to sit back an laugh when people start to have problem or when people get a ticket because of glare or something.

No, because all those Cheap kits are from the Same China Factory.
Ill be in Shock if this ones any different then any other Ebay Cheap HIS Kit.

like i said before. im not going to waste my time trying to cross reference this HID "kit" with others on HIDPlanet and other that are crap to just get more crap with a few people on here just to say im talking Bull Sh** and not to be leave me.

if i didn't have info to back me up i would not be trying this hard. nor wold CC.

all the info you need and want is on site like HIDPlanet.com and others.

You of all people should know Wren that when something cost allot and when you see something thats Cheap no name brand on ebay, 99% of the time its crap.

There are only two good brands of HID Ballast that are recommended by HID experts.
and those arn't one of them.

If it was a respectable product then why would the seller take the time to photoshop off the manufactures name? If it indeed was an OEM quality manufacturer then it would not only be a selling point of the kit, but the kit would be more expensive and would not have those connection styles on it.

How many "quality" products have you bought that had their companies name photoshopped or cut off ? My guess is none, just curious though.

Not everything inexpensive on ebay is crap. Nor did this group buy come from ebay to the best of my knowledge.

Again, do you have any specific information on this particular kit? I'm personally uninterested. I'm playing Admin here. Let'* get good information out there instead of saying it'* * h i t in general because it'* chinese.

If you have all that information, do you have any negative feedback from that ebay seller to report? Early failures?

no cuz wren, most of the time they work right of the bat, for a few months. then they start to have problems
and most of the time people leave feedback right after they try the product and if it works they leave Good Feedback

and LIKE i said before its not only problems with them dieing its also that they are not as bright as the good ones.

and the good ones are not like 400 or 500$
they are 250-300$ so for $100 more o get something thats going to last ALLOT longer and is going to be brighter and better.

very true...it is really bad to buy a cheap set of HIDs because think about it, they are your headlights and one of the most important things that help you drive. I have known people who have bought kits like these and they have had problems with the colors being the same and ballasts either flickering or going out. It is very true of people leaving good feedback when they buy it because that is just what you do and usually it works upon arrival, but if something goes wrong with the ballasts or something else goes wrong and you want to send it back...that is where you have to go through all the problems...now don't get me wrong, some people will help you out but my friends and I have ran into some really bad problems trying to get things replaced...and when you do get it fixed who knows if it will do it again. A majority of these companies will produce knockoffs or cheaper HID kits with taking shortcuts and saving every penny they can while making a product that may work for a while. Heck I have experienced this even with a little remote controlled helicopter i bought from eBay, I got a knockoff and it worked, not very well but it flew for a while until the blades snapped and I bought a real one from Toys R Us and it was a thousand times better. It amazes me that they can replicate things like this for so cheap and people buy them not knowing how bad they can actually be. You may have a kit that people have had good luck with and it may work....I just think people should really be aware of what they are getting themselves into.
