Default Clear headlights for '00

Ok so I have been looking around for a while and searched on here a bit too to find a "how to" for clearing my headlight corners on a '00 Bonneville. All I have found is just finished pics of what they look like.. Could some one please point me in the right direction.

Also I have seen some people with bulbs that don't have the amber glass yet light up orange where are these from?

Thanks

Sawgunner might know how it'* done. I seem to remember it'* not to hard. To get the amber light without the amber lens, we use amber LEDs

like these? it'* easy, take the head lights out pop off the metal clips around the perimitter then pry apart gently. the lens will come off then take the black piece out and pop the yellow lense out of it then reassemble

wow that easy lol I'm guessin it is the same for tails? my 96 grand prix I had to pull them apart and use a black tar glue from NAPA to put them back together so glad this seems to be a quick and easy mod

Ouch! Well I may just hold off on them in that case. All I was wanting was the amber taken out but I can live with them in for a while.. Just got car Friday 2-26 and really wanted clear corners on the headlamps, might wait till spring or summer and hit up a junk yard for tails I have friends with dremels and if I get spare tails I can practice or talk to my maintenance guy at work he can do all kinds of stuff like that.. Not to mention I have my double din kenwood, 2 12'*, and amp on their way once system and tint is done I may start tearing into the car'* motor

If you have trouble prying the headlight apart use a heat gun (at about 200 degrees or so) to help with the tar that holds the lens on.

My problem was always getting the headlight out of the assembly. Its connected by that ball joint in the back of the headlight, and i tried prying it apart softly and hard and the thing is just stuck to it lol.

when you unbolt it leave it in that position and pull straight it should come out. if not then turn the headlight so you can get a small gap behind the parking light and spary some PB blaster on the ball and socket then wait a couple miniutes and pull straight out again

For the parking lights/turn signals I like to use "stealth bulbs" they are chrome when off and amber when on, they still light up good unlike the problems you can have with LEDs and the hyperflash with the turn signal

you can find them pretty cheap on Ebay, just search 3157 stealth bulb
