duplicolor high-heat aluminum spray-paint
lay it on really thin and it still glows amber. i did a real hack job, so they arent as bright as id like. theyre just turn indicators though, so its not so bad. ill get night pics up soon enough. at night you can see how the coat of paint is uneven around the bulb
and i was just thinking i need to update my sig pic, heh

if you want to try it again here are some simple tips.
before you prep the bulb get a bowl and fill it with warm water. Place the cane in there. This will increase the preasure inside giving a finer spray. which when it comes to bulbs you really want one.
Tape over all the contacts and spray from the side of the contacts. yes you will need/want to "hang" the bulb by fishline taped on the contacts. this will give the back side of the bulb a silver touch. and it should be even, assuming that you were able to spray straight onto the bulb. Then mist the top.
personally I would go to a junk yard and pull a few bulbs. experiment on them. most of the bulbs have dirt and stuff on them so it really doesn't matter if you touch them at that point.
