Steam cleaning usually works the best, but not sure if it'* safe on a headliner.

I always take my car to the detail shop down the street. Whatever they use works awesome and doesn't mess up my headliner.

I also have a solution that you can mix to wipe down the headliner and all of the trim. I'll have to find the mixture oh duh wait

50-50 water and ammonia. pour a little of that on a rag and wipe all the headliner down try not to make it so wet it drips but just enough to dampen it. Also wipe down all the pillars and the sun visors remember that all of the area where the driver sat will be coated heavily with yucky yellow stuff.

I have used this mix a million times it works might burn the eyes but everything on the market will only mack and not remove.

On mythbusters they proved that a mixture of water and vodka sprayed on cloth eliminated smoke odors. Spray it or drink it?
