I think you don't want to tint a "sun" roof. it wouldn't be a "sun" roof then.
Seriously...there is a tint to it already. (mine has)

I haven't taken any specific roof pics.

My windows are 35% and I added 50% to the roof. That makes it all about the same. It'* the way to go.

I tinted the roof myself while the pro'* tinted the other windows on the SLE. I went with the lightest tint possible. My goal wasn't to cut down on visibility or light, just solar radiation (IR/UV). Even clear tint, if properly coated, will block most of the UV and IR without changing the shade.

I have had every car I have owned tinted and never done the sunroof. I guess I just never thought of it and normally use the factory sun shade. A friend of mine just got his girlfriends roof tinted and it looks really nice (she has an 06 GP GT). I like that it keeps some of the sun out and still allows you to see out. I have been kicking the idea around myself. I say go for it!

Even with the sunshade closed, UV and IR penetrate the glass and heat up the sunshade. The top of the sunshade is black, and it absorbs the radiation. The tinting is coated to reflect this solar radiation. Your car will stay cooler with tint and th shade open than it would with no tint and the shade closed. I still intend to zip over to the tint shop and mildly tint the roof on the Zilla like the SLE.
