Cover the coil pack/ICM and the Alternator....Spray some "Fantasik" around the dirtiest areas, spray gently with water, and work the dirty spots with a cloth...rinse gently, wipe dry, start motor....just don't spray full blast at anything electrical and you'll be fine. There are plenty of posts on how to clean the engine bay and motor...You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

(only problem you'll have is once you do it, you won't be able to stop...it becomes an obsession )
i Blast the **** out of mine with the pressure washer at work, works everytime, and i have yet to have a single problem

I actually don't have mine on right now, but this is what it looks like when it'* on there. Those are finger prints from my grubby hands after an oil change, not blotches in the Paint.

Aside from the rust, that'* damn nice. Good attention to detail in there. Now imagine that cover with the slotted areas cut out and meshed.
