Default ANTS!

Well, I opened my car door this morning to a terrible site...ANTS! Donzens of black ants all over everything! The seats, the dash, the door jams, everywhere. I've got most of them taken care of, but I keep seeing one or two here and there. Anyone have any ideas on the best way to get rid of them. Thanks!

P.*.: Yes, I did make sure there was nothing in there to entice them. I did find a breath mint under the driver seat, but ironically it was one of the only things in the car that didn't have ants on it.

A fogger. Not the push down and spray type bomb, the type you add water to the bottom of the cup. None will survive, and the residue won't stink for as long as a traditional 'spray' type bomb.

Did you just clean the interior? I've heard of people having ants on their car after using a certain wax.

No, I don't use any fruity stuff on the interior. I realized today actually that where I park outside my condo the frontend hangs over the curb and onto some grass. I looked around and found at least 3 ant mounds nearby. So I guess they just went exploring and decided to check it out. Luckily they aren't the biting kind, at least so far. I vaccumed out the interior today and got rid of the last of them. I guess even ants can't resist a black Bonneville. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Do you have liquids in your car? Are you still having a drought in Tampa?

After every single dry spell since I moved to Alabama I've found ants in my car, probably trying to get at the water cup in the console for my dog. Apparently ants need water, too.

They usually leave willingly by about 11AM when the inside of the car gets too hot. I remove the water, spite-spray the massive ant trail on the curb that my complex refuses to deal with, and they are gone for a few weeks until I forget about the water again.
