For the situation you are in right now, I would suggest sanding/wirewheeling all the rust off, priming and then painting it to match the car. 90+% of people will never notice and the real important thing here is to stop the rust from spreading. IMO appearence is 2nd to that.

im going to have to do the same thing when spring finaly gets here. mines not as bad, but mines right at the bumper seem and the molding seem...
so mines going to me a pain in hte A$$ too..

Wash that salt of ASAP thats no good for that, wash it sand it down and prime, even if its just a quick remedy its better than all that road salt just sitting there eating away

I'll be doing this on the lumina soon too. Washed it for the first time in 4 months and the rust looks worse than expected.
I might be doing this at NEBF so I can take pictures and take notes for the steps

Yeah, the rust is worse than I thought. It'* surface on the left side, right side isn't..and it'* in the door jams too. Luckily I know a body guy who will fix it all for me.
I did wash the car though.
