Default Polishing the New Exhaust

So Gunner so nicely dropped this off at my place Sunday. Figured I'd start polishing the tips today. I plan on getting them completely cleaned up and then spray them all black with my can of header paint except for the very ends which I will leave polished so it stands out.

And all the further I got. Kinda hard to see since it was getting dark out

If anyone has any suggestions on methods of polishing the tips I'd love to hear them because I've already went through 2 pads for the air tool, 3 sanding pads for the dremel and a wire wheel for the dremel (yes gunner I did finally get my dremel to work)

Are they aluminum? If so, that'* hard to polish. Might want to look at coating them. Perhaps something like this. http://www.eastwood.com/silver-exhaust-paint-set.html

They are aluminum. Do a search, I know Purplehazier polished his up real nice. I sanded mine down with 400grit and then hit them with Eagle One Never-Dull wadding cloth

Used 400grit wet/dry sandpaper and SOS pads to finish cleaning it.

Using VHT high temp flat black paint. The very end of the tip will be taped off to stay polished and stand out

Odd how the stuff goes on and turns brownish. Its starting to dry black right now.

Also a sample of another project I'm working on. Still working out exactly what color scheme (all black or a two tone) I want and a couple other minor things.

Kind of late with a reply. I use an aluminum polish with a sisal wheel on a buffer and it works great. On my 04 the tips unbolt off of the tailpipe.

These guys have what you need to polish metal.
