I use that stuff all the time and have never had a problem. Did you wet the rim down first? It says on the bottle to use only on a cool rim.

Same here. I think the results are five times better when wet, or at least some moisture on the rim. I've never used hot rims so I can't vouch for that, but I like Eagle One when the rims wet.

when the rim is wet and i use the hot rims i can see the brake dust actually running off the rim...i doubt that would happen with a dry rim

I always wet the rims too. When i put the new rims on, i'm planning on diluting the cleaner to 1/4 strength. I had problems with F21 as well.
