Bored led project
So I had the switch from aftermarket fog lights in my car and I put stock fog lights back in because the aftermarket kept blowing fuses.
So I bought some cheap 12v resistor wired led lights and put them in to hook up to the switch. I connected them to the harness that connects to the radio because I can pull it out and work on it rather simply.
Looks ok from the seat although if you go underneath the dash and look you might get sick at all the amatuer soldering i did and the way wires are stuffed but anyways

I havent seen it in the dark yet, (kept blowing the radio fuse last night) but imsure it will give it a nice glow. this is just a test project, I plan to put more in eventually and create a harness that runs to either the ignition or staright to the battery that will act as courtesy lights seeing as mine stay on constantly if the fuse is in.

My aeroforce scan gauge has some LED'* that are red and within sight, and whenever they come on if I'm over a certain KR level it is SOO bright, i couldn't imagine having them constantly on in sight. Maybe you have dimmer LED'*? Anyway in the pics it looks good.

they are rated at 830 somethings, whatever the brightness rating is and they help block the bright *** blue of the radio which can light up the whole interior at night, gets annoying when everything else is red.

No but I hear it knock a small bit if i turn my wheel all the way left or right, not concerning me much. I put a second switch in for new LED'* and soon a third for foot well lights for the front and back. Doesn't light up too much so maybe just throw red nail polish on and make it pontiac mood lighting.
