glassing a console would be easier that a pillar pod, IMO, becuase the pillar pod has a lot of curves and things like that. I would build a wood frame to mount all your stuff on, then glass over it.

Ah ok. I'm not sure that would yield a clean look, or maybe if you used plastic body filler or the like to "smooth in" the plastic it would look slick.

yeah maybe i might make a frame out of plastic to save waight and them glass or body filler over it, i really like that Carbin fiber look that the one person did to his Dash, it looks vary good. i might do the same thing.

I'd say build the frame out of something, and upholster it like a subwoofer box. To match your interior. Or use the texture paint and interior color paint over fiberglas like Bill did when he did his custom heater switches.

Hey, sorry for the late post but I just started making my own custom center console today. I'm making it out of MDF and having it upholstered in cloth. It'* not going to be super super cool but it'll be cool and very practical. I think I should have it done by next week. I'll post pics here when I finish it and when it'* upholstered.
