I look a look at my tail lights and head lamps, I don't think I could run a knife along the seam.... guess it'* the drill and seal method. I'll do it early one evening when I know I won't need to use the car.
And to repeat my question becuase this is a new page it might not have gotten noticed, for my tail and head lamps do I need to put in new bulbs, like some kind that glow orange, since I clear them? If so what kind?

Clearing the lights
It looks like you can clear your lights the same way I did... just remember to be careful when prying apart the acrylic from the plastic frame. I set mine in the sun for 30-45 minutes, and living in AZ that heated them right up!
When I chose the amber bulbs, I just went to Auto Zone and did a cross-reference for the "stock" clear light bulbs, then physically looked for the same model with the amber color. It was pretty easy...I found 2 different part numbers for the amber bulb that worked, so i chose the cheaper of the 2... Should be about $5-7 for the pair. And since I bought them from a local store, if they did not work for any reason, I could return them.
Take the time, do it right, and you'll be very happy with the outcome...

Hmm well I'm in NJ so it'* not warm enough yet. I know what you mean though when I do windows sometimes I have to take out the type that need "dissasembling" from the glass, and when they get warmed up the glue gives.
I guess I'll save clearing my lights for when the weather gets warmer. Thanks.

damn that rear tail without the amber lenses looks sick! I was thinking about trying it today, but we will see. I dont want to risk cracking anything. Oh and if it cracks, can it be resealed?

yes it can be resealed but up close it wont look that great and i have yet to find an oven big enough to put the center in i ended up cutting into two of my old ones warning the left tail for some odd reason has more glue or epoxy holding the lense to the housing i cracked two left tail lenses attempting it so after the stock one and a second left tail i just cut it

So that explains it then. I was worried about breaking something so I didnt want to pull too hard on them. The Riviera had an 8mm bolt you had to access beneath the corner lens to remove it. Ill try pulling a little harder next try then
