I will tell ya that it'* defanitly worth the elbow grease to shine those up!!! I use to use on my 92 gran prix gold honeycomb the eagle one rim stuff and a plastic scrubby and they came out awsome!!! Also after I would use something like a thin coat of the teflon stuff and the rims would stay clean for quite a while, and then when they got dirty you could pretty much just wipe them off!!!!
