I would like to do something like this,

are you sure it is fiberglass, and not that they heated up the plastic and molded it around a model skull ?

yes it is fiberglass, i talked to the guy how did the one in the pic, he said i had to put clay ontop and close the hood, then open the hood the indent in the clay would tell me the clearance thats about all the info i got. he wanted me to pay him to do it, im am an artist myself so i like to learn new things, that is if people are willing to give a little bit away.

In all honesty an easy way would be to find whatever you wanted for a design and actually resin over it, then use some matting to mold it into whatever

Well Halloween is closely approaching, check out stuff at the dollar store and Wal-Mart, bet you could find something to mold in.

I agree, there has to be a fake skull floating around that would be able to do the job.

That is SWEET!!!!

And yes, if you go to a costume shop, you should be able to find a latex glue on skull, that comes packaged in a plastic mold. From there someone who knows should be able to go from there...
