Bulb Questions...
I have a 1995 SLE with original tails. The reason i state this is that lately I have tried to convert to LED with no luck, even the 27-LED replacements for the 1157 bulbs in the tails from autolumination.com are not nearly as bright as the original normal bulbs. So I am trying another route now, the route of even more clear light, I am looking at GE NightHawk bulbs, they claim more power and I think I've read of one member here converting, hopefully they will chime in, or anyone that has. I think the GE Nighthawk S8 is the bulb I am looking for to replace the tails, but someone let me know what works! I want to do the tails and the brake lamp. Please note I today already reversed the wiring on the brake light because the LED would not work in it, it still works fine with the stock bulb too! The LED has been removed and are being sent back.

LED'* will not work because the bulbs need to reflect off the housing in order to be bright. since LED'* shoot right out the back in a single direction, they can't reflect.
i cant give you advice on the NightHawk bulbs since I have never run them.
however, I have never seen a Bonneville of any type that looks like it has dim taillights that would need to be brighter.

Well to answer what you said, the LED'* I had were in all directions, so they did reflect, they just were not powerful enough, LED'* cannot put out the light that normal bulbs do, they get close but not the same. Also, my tails put out plenty of light, I just like to upgrade everything ....So I still need to know, which Nighthawks work in my tails?
