HID lights?
A friend of mine just put this setup in a pickup of his. they look awesome! can't say how legal they are or how it is to be the oncoming car though...
has anyone here done something similar to their Bonneville? i wouldn't mind it but its a little too rich for my blood i think.

These kits say no modification which is wrong. If you are converting to HID you need to also replace the lens as they were not designed for HID and will cause problems with blinding other drivers etc. I hate all those ricers guys that do this and blind people. Not a good idea.

I have HID headlights and foglights.
I think that the 2000+ housings handle HID pretty well. Not sure about any of the older years.
As for my HID foglights in my H3 Hella angle eye housings, they are a different story.
They are so bright that I wouldn't even try to use them while there is oncoming traffic.
I plan on getting Projectors for the foglights as soon as I find some around 3.5 inches.

i had them, twice. this ofcourse will sound negative but its not. they are great, they are on my Dads 745Li, which have projectors of course so the light is nice and crisp. On my 2001, they worked out great, never flashed by oncoming traffic, however the ballasts died out. Twice. Most likely because I went the cheap route and bought cheap ballasts. If you buy HID....by best of breed ballasts. (Phillips, Hella and a few others)
BUT, beings were on the topic i also feel that a 9005 conversion is just as good and you dont chance being pulled over for illegal lighting. Thats the second reason why i didnt keep the lights..... i dont like tickets/fines. 9005 Conversion

9005'* are nowhere near a good HID setup.
I'm a firm believer of doing it right, with projectors, etc. A few housings are do-able with them, but most reflectors bleed a large amount of light upwards.

So where could I get these projectors?
And how do you install them?
