Peter, what kind of equipment did you use to apply the paint? My father still has a Binks gun from way back when he refinished furniture, and I have his compressor 
Its the kind with a screw on tank mounted below the nozzle, not the hopper setup above the nozzle.
and how do you lay the paint to prevent orange peel? Seems thats a skill all in itself, seeing as how many new cars finish has some degree of orange peel.

My weapon of choice is a DeVillbiss HVLP Plus+ Gun... I was trying to get a new DeVillbiss GTI Millenium gun, but couldnt get it in time :?
every job gets Orange peel its just a matter of getting it as smooth as much possible. which is just a matter od getting the enough paint on so it will flow out, but not so much that you get runs... its all a matter of practice. and temp.. and humidity...and...ect
