fixed the window trims (MORE pics)
Not shure about the right name for these parts, but they go horizontally under the side window glass. They were faded, cracked, scratched & one of them was startin to peal.
This picture shows all of tools I used.
I sanded away most of the cracks & scratches. Used sandpaper 340, 800, 1000.
The one in the picture was the worst shaped one, with a pealing plastic. What I did is that I lifted the black rubery coating & applied fiberglas under, then wrapped that part with tape so that it would stick. Sanded the part, applied more fiberglass & so on.

& the final product vs. an undone one.
total cost: & $12.00 for the paper, the rest of the materials I had in the garage.
total work time: about 2 hours between cleaning sanding & pasting.

Did you only do the bottom trim? Mine doesn't look bad, but I'm sure the trim above the window is going to look bad also after a while, and I'm curious if the vinyl will work with that bend in the trim on the top.
