Default Air compressors for painting...

Hey I was just wondering this out of the blue, what if someone decided to use the compressor used to paint your house (i.e. the ones that you can get at any hardware store which are meant to paint your interrior / exterrior house real quick and easy) and used it with car paint to paint your car? Anyone know of any reasons why that sort of compressor couldn't work for car paint?

you need 7cfm at 40psi to run any quality gun. touch up guns need less.

All decent car paint jobs are done with air spray guns
