GXP Cluster with an SSEi?
Would it be possible to swap my instrument cluster for the GXP one?
And I understand the GXP one doesn't have a boost gauge so could I just buy an aftermarket boost gauge and hook it up somewhere near?

Yeah I remember seeing his cardomain site.
He has an SLE so if he'* having problems without a boost gauge...
I'd like to know what kinds of problems though.

His problem relates to an ongoing message at startup about low engine coolant. This is a class 2 data message from the PCM and won't likely be related to the lack of a boost gauge. You could certainly try it. I can't make any guarantee that it won't work, I just wouldn't put money on the fact that it will.

As far as I know leftd90 and I are the only members that have done the swap. leftd90 opted to swap in the chip from his old cluster which gives him the correct odometer reading but an incorrect speedometer reading. IIRC he has a GPS so he can check his speed with that. The speedometer will be off by about 5mph at 45-50mph. I went the other way and am running the GXP cluster complete with its original chip. My car'* odometer now reads incorrectly(mileage of the GXP) and I get a low coolant light on startup. However, my speedometer is correct. I can get the mileage programmed correctly if I send it to someone but I'm not sure if they can erase the low coolant light.

Could this re-calibrator be used in conjunction with my original chip? If so, how does it work? Do I have to permanently install it on the car or can I remove it once calibrated?

I guess I'm not sure why you should require this. Unless you changed something in your drivetrain from factory (gear ratio, etc) or are running different sized tires than what GM put on, there shouldn't be an issue.
With the gear ratio unchanged and tire size the same, the signal generated by the vehicle is constant at 4000 pulses per mile. It then becomes a measurement based on time to determine speed. Even with their ad, they specify the limited instances this product will be of use.

With the SLE chip, the GXP cluster shows the wrong speedometer reading, too fast. I was thinking that Intense'* re-calibrator could fix it. The idea was given to me by Boosty before he left, he suggested it so I was looking into it.

I'm pretty sure there'* a way to fix, there has to be.
I don't know what the extent of work would have to go into it though.
Seems like more work than what it'* worth, considering I'd also have to buy a new boost gauge..
