Touch up and waxing
okay, i said in my first post,
my previous car was kind of a p.o.*.
so i kept it clean and all but the only waxing
going on was the spray **** at the car wash
so.. what are some of the better products out there?
turtle wax or what not?
also theres some marks and scuffs.
can i just buff those out or do i need touch up paint?
any help appreciated, thank you.

Meguiars Gold Class or NXT are probably the best over the counter. Check out www.autogeek.com if you want to find some great boutique stuff. Some is expensive, but most of it is reasonable.
But before you wax, I would recommend getting a clay bar kit as well. You can find Mothers or Claymagic at any auto store. Just use it per the directions after you wash.
As far as scratches, you can try Scratch X. But more than likely you would need a polisher and some polish and/or compound to get them if they are very deep.

I second the NXT. The shine and protection is tops for a non botique product. And it is very afforadable.
I would also recommecd that you buy a Porter Cable at Lowes. Costy is around $100 but will pay for itself with the first polishing. Also I saw a demo where the NXT was applied with a PC and it made the SUV look sweet.
