1965 Bonneville 389 - No Spark
Have replaced coil, wires, points, condenser. Am looking for points gap for 389 or possibly 400 Pontiac motor.
Wondering if I could have a bad distributor?
Any and all advice would be appreciated!

Sorry, I haven't had this problem in the past so I can't offer you much more than that. I wish you luck on your "new" car. Let us know how it turns out. Others might be more of a help to you here.

Dont get me wrong. but even if the dist was 180 out there would still be spark. Although extremely misplace, it would still be present.
If you have no spark whatsoever check your power to your ignh coil and yourpick up coil. If you do not know where they are buy a service manual or get a tow truck....J/K
No power to either of these critical components will result in total loss of spark.
P.*.
So will forgetting to install the rotor under the cap.

Long shot, but are your distributer gears perhaps stripped? I'm not 100% sure, but if you bump the starter with the cap off, you should see the rotor [that is the rotor, right?] spinning.
Have you been able to verify the coil is giving spark to the distributor? I'm pretty sure if you pull the wire off the distributor [that comes from the coil] and crank the engine over, you should see spark in there..

Gap on new points is .019 full open and.035 on spark plugs, hope this is what you are looking for, if you still have no spark run a jumper wire from batt + to coil + and you should have spark.. if not your condensor is bad i have replaced the one on my dad'* 72 gmc 15 times before I got one that worked

woila...it was a spark
thats something you dont think could happen
