Default HELP!!!

*prays someone sees this*...

I ended up with an exhaust valve stuck open. It almost took out my wiring harness (thank God it didn't), melted through a coupla hoses, and nailed a part I'm discovering is hard to find...

I need an air control valve for my 1983 Bonnie Brougham...I have the Echlin part number, but it'* on back order to the point of no promised delivery date. Any ideas on a source for this horrible thing? My bonneville'* dead, and i'll be walking to work unless it gets fixed soon...

Christy, can you give us a picture of the part, a description of what it does, and the part number? Or 2 out of 3? I have a couple vintage sources in mind, and can make some calls.

I don't have official GM parts names or numbers...unfortunately.

I THINK it'* pollution control, or so I was told by Napa. They called it an "air control valve", and the Echlin (or napa) part number is 2-29376. That'* all i've got, unless a nearby member wishes to let me use a digital camera

Okay, called in a favor, have a digital camera for the weekend. I got shots of all sides, plus where the thing goes on the engine.

Sorry to all 56kers, including myself :P
