Because the Bonneville is the top of the line Pontiac and is ALL Pontiac, where a Canadian Pontiac is a hybrid of Pontiac and Chevrolet. They may look the same at 1st glance, but they are VERY different!! Just my opinion!!

Ok i found a complete new underfloor pan for less than 1k $. A brandnew replacement frame costs around 2k $ but it looks good that i can get one from a rustfree donator car for 600 $.
Since i might also need a new trunk floor pan and eventually 1 or 2 other bodypanels, i estimate the costs for all required parts around 3k $, including freight to Europe.
Now the question is how much a professional bodyshop will charge me to replace these parts. If these labour costs are reasonable, i can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel for this restoration.
Since i might also need a new trunk floor pan and eventually 1 or 2 other bodypanels, i estimate the costs for all required parts around 3k $, including freight to Europe.

thought you were doing it yourself, labor is going to be costly for the floor and frame i would think.
as far as being upside down it depends on your point of view.if your a collector maybe but i care about enjoying the car how ever that appeals to you i probably have four to five times what my firebird is worth in just parts, not counting i did everything my self, countless hours. but its how i want it and i would never sell it so worth doesnt mean anything anyway.
