Battery Drain
I have a 04 Chevy Trailblazer that has a 0.25 - 0.30Amp draw.
When removing the IPC/DIC fuse 24 10amp in the fuse block underhood, the draw goes immediately to .05 Amps. All circuits have been removed from the IPC except ckt 2340 - 639 - 751, and the draw is still present.
What'* been done
- Battery has been replaced.
- Instrument cluster has been replaced 2 times.
- Wire harness from fuse block underhood to instrument has been taken apart to see if anything was tapped into it.
- G102 had less then .05mv
- Tech 2 is being used to power down vehicle into sleep mode
I am aware that A jumper wire needs to be connected in parallel to the ammeter to reconnect the battery at the same time the meter remains installed, or Parasitic Draw Test Switch J38758 (Special Tools)_GM should be installed, but did not use. Not sure if this would add to my problem or be it, however any advice or information would be appreciated.

dont know that much about the sleep mode but i can see the ipc/dic needing some power to remember all the settings. do your readings change when its in sleep vs not? i would think that would be more bcm related.

Sleep mode puts modules to sleep / power down so that minimal power consumption is being used. If you look at the wiring schematic before the
IPC/DIC fuse 24 there is a branch Power Distribution Schematic In wiring System that goes to the rear fuse box and BCM. However when the fuse pulled the amp draw goes away. If the BCM had not been in sleep mode or was creating the draw it would still be there when the fuse was pulled. I did however.. to see if that might be a cause kept the fuse in and unplugged the BCM and removed the fuses in the rear fuse box to no prevail.

If you pull that fuse, and the draw diminishes.....
If you put the fuse back in and disconnect the IPC, does the draw drop? If it doesn't, now pull the fuse....does it drop? If yes, then you need a power distribution schematic of that fuse, to see what other circuits it feeds....

Yes when pulling the fuse the draw diminishes.
When putting the fuse back in & disconnecting the IPC or just pulling the circuit 2340 out of the cluster that the fuse feeds the draw drops to 0.04Amps

Disconnect neg bat cable......install a bolt into the bat terminal to make an easy connection.......attach a jumper wire between the bat cable and the battery neg terminal......wait 10 minutes.......modules should all be asleep by now....attach the ampmeter in parallel to the jumper in at least 10A rating.....now disconnect the jumper.......reading should be around 30 milliamps, 0.030A......if much higher, disconnect the IPC, if it drops, looks like an IPC....
