Thanks. i guess back to Hyundai products in 2014 for me. GM apparently put out a bulletin about this smell in 2009. Said it is the gasolene and a cat replacement was not the answer.

But yet, 1billion other GM, Dodge, Ford, Toyota, Kia'* etc don't seem to have this problem with "this gasoline". Quite possibly, a one time fluke.

Sorry to say, it doesn't matter what make or model you run off to, eventually, you'll run to another forum for a different issue.

Toyota'* have the same problem. Toyota has put out a bulletin that nothing will fix the smell. The only thing they recommend is to try different gas stations. Its the government with their high emmisions standards and the gas companies refining process and the ethonal in the fuels.

has to be running rich. could even have a small rip in the diaghram of the fuel pressure regulator could cause this
