we have a bunch of fleet type trucks(bunch of 2500'*/a 550/bunch of suvs) at work so i see the quality and number of repairs and i have to deal with the dealer when the ones that are assigned to me are broke. i can tell you the dealer attitude of once its sold we dont care is universal among all brands. but the build quality of gm is far superior, i am not just some gm fan either, i have had dodge and ford myself too but would not spend any of my own money on either a dodge or ford after 2000. the 550 i spoke of is my daily driver for work and it is a constant headache, it spent the first 3-4 years in the shop about 6 times a year then the ford dealer flashed away half my power and swears he didnt. now it only breaks like once a years due to the piece of crap stuff on the rest of the truck, i dont have enough power to break anything on the engine or drivetrain anymore
