well the sender is acdelco, i will see with the gauge how it operates, if i dont need the sensor anymore i will leave just the gauge, it looks like this model does not have the fuel cut off feature.

Yeah, I seen where you mentioned the Delco, it is supposed to be the correct one.
Let us know how the pressure looks while driving it once you get the mechanical gauge installed.

Two possible causes of an engine no-start or dying at idle condition
Some other stuff I read makes it sound like everything else I had read was wrong, it seems the FP and OP are wired in parallel, which would let the OP relay act as a backup, thanks for the info.

Going into the block mine was 3/8", you may need 1/8" for your aftermarket mechanical oil pressure sender, depends on the size of it.

hi guys it has been a long time.
the failure was detected to be the cable of the sensor, i couldnt change it since i cant find it here, but now the warning light "low oil engine pressure" has gone it does not light anymore, is that a good sign?.
the engine works well it has no damage, the pressure is ok, it has an small oil leak in the front valve Cover Gasket, that im going to change this week "already bought the gaskets".
any suggestions?

Do you know if it is the end of the cable that hooks to the oil pressure sender?
If you are sure that is where the short is you can find a replacement for that, I'd have it spliced in/soldered in, and heat shrink wrapped, the part number for that wiring connector is ACDELCO Part # PT2326
If you are not sure where the sort is then you may want to replace the whole wire.
If the light is not on due to the short not being shorted out at the moment then that is a good thing, but still that short needs to be located, and repaired.
Unless you are going to go with the mechanical oil pressure sender gauge.
