Loose Gear Shifter Arm??
I've got a 1997 Chevy Silverado and the gear shift arm is loose. It is an automatic and the shifter is on the steering column. I had the linkage replaced, but the arm is still very loose feeling. It seems like there may be a screw loose behind the rubber housing on the column that hold it down to the actual shifter.
Can anyone advise on how to repair this loose shifter arm? I hope my description is helpful, but if there are any questions, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Only way to find out is to remove the steering column covers, the boot and possibly drop the whole steering column down.
