If it was a SRTA, "they" didn't rebuild it....they just replaced it.......the SRTA was already rebuilt.....the long wait must have been getting the replacement tranny....there should have been no problem removing and then installing the new one.....

I hope for that amount of time, they gave you a free "loaner"....

They rebuilt it there in the shop. They got all the parts within in 2 days of getting my car. They called us every time they had a problem with something or when ever THEY BROKE SOMETHING AND NEEDED TO ORDER A NEW ONE. It literally took them 18 days to do the simple job. I have a detailed itemized receipt of all the parts and what was done, 3 pages. And the worst part is that I am on my way over today to take it back to them cause the light is back on. And I only got a loaner the last 3 days but I had to throw a fit for it.:(

The original paperwork they gave us after they looked at it said they would put in Srta Transmission, they told us the warranty on it and everything. After they talk to GM and GM decided to pay 60 percent of the cost I think they decided to go another route but did not tell us. When I got the car back finally, all the paperwork showed how they rebuilt the transmission and nowhere on the new paperwork does it call it srta. So I think they told is one thing but decided to go another route. I don't think they have any business rebuilding transmissions if it takes 21 days. Unfortunately, like I said the light is back on as it was when I left their shop and was told to come back which I'm doing today.

I agree with you....once you said they were "rebuilding" it, I knew it was not a SRTA......You should have complained.....they should have given you a loaner from day one.......was this all covered under warranty?
