Well last week i filled the tank with fuel and drove back and forth to work from tuesday to friday and it totaled 90 km and i burned over 1/4 tank of gas. Then i refilled my tank on friday and drove to pick my son up which is over 200 km from where i live and hardly burned 1/8 of a tank so when i got to his place his uncle was there and i used his code reader and got this code
So i figured that has something to do with my poor gas milage i have been told by a few ppl that it can be cleaned but i would rather by a new one..

Yea, that'* a typical failure for a 3800 EGR valve.

Carbon build up can cause them to stick, I'd consider getting some carb cleaner, and a new EGR gasket, then clean the EGR'* pintle, and area around the pintle, making sure not to get any of the carb cleaner up inside where the electrons are.
When you remove it use something to press in on the pintle, see if it moves in and out freely.
When you clean it, and out it back, clear the codes and drive it a while, if the code goes away you saved yourself some money.
I tried to find a good video on how to clean it, but all I could find was this, hopefully it helps.
