Angry Cavalier Stalls in Hot Weather

I have a 2008 Cavelier that runs great in temperatures under 90 F. However, in temperatures above 90 F, it stalls (runs really rough, then stalls) when foot is taken off the accelerator (slowing down to turn, stop, etc.). If I press the accelerator to the floor, it sometimes starts again, but runs really rough and then dies. The car will only run again if you let it sit 15 to 30 minutes.

I have replaced: Crankshaft position sensor, fuel filter & fuel pump. I have tested for spark right after the car dies and no issues there.

Any ideas????

Have you checked fuel pressure? Is the car throwing any codes?

The Trac light comes on and off. I do not recall the specific codes thrown, but they were generic.

The problem has been occurring for almost two years, but only in the hot summer months.

I have put in an inline fuel pressure gauge, but cooler weather has prevailed the last few weeks and I have not been able to get the car to stall.

Symptoms are reminiscent of an old carbureted vehicle with vapor lock. Being that you have FI I would be looking for a vacuum hose leak, anything close to the exhaust or any other hot parts, especially the vacuum hose to the fpr.
