Default Cobalt 2007 - Ignition cylinders recall (Didn't work)

Hi!
I made the recall at my local GM dealer here in canada.
My 2007 cobalt got some brand new set of ignition cylinder BUT!
I still can turn my car to OFF while driving (but now cant remove the key from ignition). The result being my power steering and all electronic device turned off too. I need to bring the car at Park position to start the engine back. This being extremely dangerous.

I called my dealer about that and he said this was normal, I got it all wrong and the recall wasn't all about turning off the car or not it was about something else in the ignition. (Wtf?). So he thanked me and hang up.

It is all fucked up. Can someone please confirm me that I am wrong or not?

I think your incorrect about the recall sir.

They replaced the ignition switch because it was TOO easy to turn back to the OFF position. The new part isn't designed to prevent this at all.

And just FYI, all ignition switches are designed to switch to the off position even while driving.

The switches that were recalled in the event of rough road or hard enough jolt could inadvertently be switched to the accessory mode which would cause a voltage loss to steering and air bag module. Has nothing to do with physically turning the key back while driving. The writer could have better explained to you instead of just hanging up.
