Default 99 Chevy Express oil pan removal

Hello, I am new to this forum so I appologize if I am posting this in the wrong section. Anyhow, I took the 10 bolts out of my oil pan on my 99 express van to change the oil pump. Lots of top end lifter noise and oil gauge sat at 08 lbs suddenly, so I parked it. I have a Chiltons manual from the library but it only shows oil pans from larger motors not my 4.3 v6. I only have 10 bolts on my pan and 3 tranny/oil pan rear bolts, all the diagrams are of larger pans. So I took out the 13 bolts and cannot get the pan off, pryed with a putty knife and used a rubber mallet. I see orange gasket sealer sticking out at all 4 corners and I cannot get it loose. Any suggestions?
