Hey guys just replaced timing belt ,tensioner, and idlers after 80k of wear, quick question can this engine run with a cam out of time and would it make it hard to start back up when its at oper.temp need to hold gas pedal to floor sometimes to get it to fire back up and feather it to keep it running after a second or 2 it runs on its own,no stalling at lights or any other time for that matter just hard restarts ? seems to run highway fine and around town shifts a little harder it seems tho checked all vac lines found iac wire partialy unhooked could it have done some damage to it tried reset to no avail ...... im lost any help with this

Since you are dealing with belts, this has to be the 3.4 double overhead cam engine......timing setup of the belts/gears have to be spot on....also check for vac leaks.....

Thanks techII, would have to think that the timing is off, due to performance and poor fuel mileage thinking of taking to dealer to see if they can retime as I don't have the tools for the cams hopefully they won't hit me to hard on price ........
