Driving to work and went around a corner and it just shut down. No lights no power nothing. So came back later with a tow strap tried it and put it in neutral and lights came on but went off right away. So towed it home on the way home the lights came back on. Didn't hit a bump or anything that would knock a wire loose or connection. I'm thinking ignition is there anything else it could be. I believe it'* got the 1.6l with 30k original miles.

It'* not a bad battery it tested good and it'* a newer battery. Also jumping it with a truck didn't do anything. I've wiggled the wires checked the connection, I've also checked fuses and they were fine.

Check the connection at the starter. The fusible link might be fried down there also. Also check the ground cable where it attaches to the block.

You can buy replacement fusible link and replace it using good connectors. If you were to try and use a inline fuse it would need to be like a 80 amp because all the power for the car goes through it including the alternator charging wire.
