Removing overload springs.
Removing overload springs. Should I do it? Anyone have experience with removing them or how it effects performance? I wanna pull them off a 2000 silverado.

doesnt do much for height but they are there because as you put load on they keep your truck from going too low. if you want to lower it get shackles, that retains your load capacity

it may kill the thickness of the spring which is normally like quarter to half an inch, but you dont want to do anything to the springs if you tow or put anything in the bed the half tons after 99 already have issues with broke or flattened springs, because they were sprung pretty soft from the factory
