Default 2012 Impala 3.6 DI -purge solenoid

Got a code P0444 I think. Is the purge solenoid the one sitting next to the throttle body under the cover? It has electrical cannection & vacuum hose attached. Maybe attached on backside to manifold? Can you test it? Will it hold a vacuum?

this is an electrical code, so its not going to be anything with the vacuum tubes. it says there is an open in the circuit, which means one of the wires isnt connected to the computer. loose, dirty, or corroded plugs or loose wires if you pull from the back could be causes

dont have the service manual or diagrams for that car but looking at a pic it looks like it plugs into something and the canister line is a bigger quick connect, if you take the side that goes toward the tb or manifold it should hold vacuum with no electrical going to it. if it doesnt its stuck open. rock auto has delco ones on close out for 13 bucks i think i would go through the wires and if i didnt see anything wrong or damaged wires i would just buy that and put it in. if it was expensive it would be worth getting into troubleshooting
