Default 2005 Cavalier no instrument lights, back lights etc

Hi
Can someone help me? Just bought a 2005 Cavalier used and now i notice the instrument panel back lighting, shifter back lighting, back, license plate, and all side lights are out. Brake, backup, turn, and head lights all work fine. Checked bulbs and fuses etc all ok. any ideas?
thanks

Does any of the parking lights work. If not I would say the headlight switch is possible bad. It working for the headlight but not the parking lights which turns the dash and other lights on.

I would check the headlight switch. That'* prolly what needs to be replaced. You could check and see if your getting the voltage coming out of it for the parking lights.

if its not the switch i would track down all of your grounds. and make sure your headlight switch is getting a good ground and voltage coming to it.

Thumbs up

Ok I Got It... Thanks for Everyone'* help... I went looking for voltage at pin D on headlight switch only to find none. According to wiring diagram there'* a fuse that supplies voltage. When i went looking at fuses again, in amongst the open fuse locations there it wasn't lol... the fuse was gone!!! That'* why i didn't find any blown before (I Checked all that were there) . Who would take out this fuse??? lol Well all is good again Thanks
