2005 2500 silverado HD
I just rebuilt the engine in my 2500 and everything was fine at first, but today I parked it for a couple hours and when I tried to crank it, it turned over really slow and then just started clicking like a dead battery. I tried jumping it with a quick charger, but again just clicking. I noticed the pass lock flashing. After clicking the key fob a few times the pass lock went off and I let the battery charge for awhile and it started. all of a sudden the window started going up and down and the door locks locked and unlocked several times. I ran codes and came up with u1000. Any ideas???

Phillip Try a remote synchronization by holding both the lock and unlock buttons down at the same time for 10 seconds or until u get a horn honk or lights flash. See if that helps.
The code I cant answer right now but others will look at this post and reply with more info.

Sounds like a low voltage situation to me. I would check the grounds at the block and make sure they are tight since you reciently had the engine out.

Have that battery load tested would be a good idea, as well as use a hydrometer (battery tester) on each cell (if u have removable caps) and check each cell for the specific gravity reading or state of charge on that battery. You may need to charge that battery for a longer period if the specific gravity is low. (know before u go) LOL

that'* what I was thinking, but I checked the block grounds and they are tight and clean.
I will have the battery tested, but it is just over a month old and after the episode of cranking it fires right up now. I still have random times when the electronics go nuts. Power mirrors jumping, passenger window going down and the locks locking and unlocking rapidly.

all that stuff goes though the driver door module, might be going out. or might be low voltage to it. check DDM and lt door fuses in panel on the driver side of ins panel, for loose contacts, socket, corrosion etc.

The drivers door control got broke. Is that the module you are talking about? If ordered 1 and it'* supposed to be here tomorrow

yes its technically a "module" because its on the cars network and talks to the pcm and other doors like a computer talks to other computers. and it controls all those things you were complaining about

I got the new DDM today and installed it, so far every thing is working fine. I haven't had a chance to scan it yet to see if the U1000 is still there, but I'll let you know. Thanks to all you guys for you help.
