Default what do u use for sealant ?

I have to reseal my L.I.M it has acquired an oil leak on the back of the engine, actually not sure if it is the LIM or the oil pump drive. It is a 3.4L in a 2003 Impala. So what is your suggestions for sealant in the case it is the lower intake manifold. I an going to do an exploratory soon to see if it is the LIM or the LIM. Going to remove the TB for a better look.

That GM/AC Delco RTV is fine to use, but you can also use Permatex Ultra Black, that is easier to purchase, as it is in all auto parts stores.

The oil pump drive is a very common oil leak spot on the 3.1 and 3.4. I always replace the O-ring when doing a intake job and I also add a paper distributer gasket to the oil pump drive. The distributer gasket from a small block fits perfect.

There are 2. `O` rings . even in the factory manual and you tube videos they only show one `O` ring. Yeah that is what I was thinking too. My logic was , the other side is not leaking so what is different on the 2 sides. The oil pump drive.
