Had about the same problem a year back and posted it on this very forum.

I'm posting the link to the thread and I posted the fix at the end of the thread.

I have a feeling you have the same exact problem. Good luck!

Ruben,

Thanks for chiming in and adding a link to your Impala stalling fix thread!

Your thread shows a failing ignition switch. I have had two go bad on late 90'* GM vehicles. Both times the problem reflected symptoms of a failing fuel pump. Definetley something to look into for El Tato. And with him working on the light switch issue, he was only a few inches from the ignition switch. Maybe something got disturbed while working on the light multi function switch,

Not sure the location of the ignition switch on a Impala, but on the Blazer/S10/Bravada the ignition switch is not part of the Ignition Lock Cylinder. It is a completely seperate assembly.

Had a feeling that was the culprit, I looked back over your scans, and I can see the MAF issue, at idle rpm'*, with only 0.4% throttle, the MAF should have read around 7.0/8.0 g/*, it was commanding the PCM to dump way too much gas in there, you shouldn't see it get as high as your reading were unless around 3,500 RPM'*
Sorry I missed that went I first looked at them.

Glad you got it fixed!
