2000 Chevy Malibu-Cracked Head?
About a year ago i bought a used 2000 chevy malibu with 132000 miles. less than 1000 miles later i had antifreeze in my oil. a friend who knows cars better than most mechanics and his wife who is a mechanic at a local chevy dealership helped replace the head and intake gaskets which were shot. we also had the heads planed smooth by a shop before reinstalling them we drained the milky oil and ran cleanish used oil through twice to flush it out. after that i had no problems with it besides needing new spark plugs because the antifreeze ruined them. It ran for about 6000 miles more until recently just checking all the fluids i had milky oil again. the guy thought it could be a cracked head or warped engine from previously overheating? i considered running bars head gasket fix through the system? what should i do?

My advice is flush the stop leak out of the cooling system. Your gonna do more harm than good. Hate to see ya clog the radiator and the heater core. Question when the heads were sent out, did the machine shop pull a vacuum to check for cracks and leaks. Some shop will just clean em up and resurface.

I personally would remove the intake and make sure the new gasket hasn't failed for some reason and go from there. If you don't find anything might be time to shop for a used engine.

I would have to agree with above. Take the intake off and see if the problem is there. If not it might be better in the long run to just replace the engine with a good used one.

The reasons for re-appearance of milky oil very by engine type. The possible fixes do as well.

Was this milky oil on the dipstick, or the fill cap?
Do you do a lot of short trips?
Are you losing coolant?
Last oil change?
Cracked head should have shown up a lot quicker than 6K miles.....
