If you think that'* good, wait until you see the power seat track for a 91-96 Regal bucket seat. The seat bucket and frame is steel, but riveted to the height adjustment rail, which is aluminum. Rivets pull through the aluminum, bye bye seat.

To this date I was never aware of any recall for it, despite numerous complaints documented.

What metal is it in there? If it is just a broken weld, I would imagine a skilled welder can set you straight in short order.

Also, if you feel a recall is in order, please feel free to submit a complaint to the NHTSA. Enough people complain, investigations start getting launched.

Agree....I would pull the seat and go to a good machine shop, and have it welded......won't cost anything near $1094.......

Take before and after pics, and call GM Customer Service yourself, and you might get some restitution......

I must admit, I have not seen too many problems like this with seats, except in the case of, some hefty drivers.....it happens.....
