Default 07 monte fuel leak

so i had a few leak a couple weeks ago and i found it was the oring on the quick connect under the driver seat area, ended up fixing it with a new connector on the factory line but there was no room to move or hold it well so i ended up kinking it a bit. but it didnt leak so i left it.now i have a pinhole leak in the metal part a few inches in front of where the nylon connects. the trunk no longer has a access panel for the top of the tank(i have never been so disappointed with gms quality and cheapness as i have been with this car, but thats another thread). i was planning on just replacing the line with nylon from the tank to the fuel rail but they have a different style metal connector on the front now and not sure what is on the back because i would have to drop the tank now. not sure if i want to do that but trying to find good metal to use a compression fitting on under the car is never fun either so i dont know what i should do at this point.

looking at the pic and service manual you can tell if its got the plastic or metal type

the metal disconnect on the rail, apparently you need a tool to remove it after you take that retainer off, according to the service manual.

You need the fuel line disconnect tool. Can be found in the tool section at Autozone.

That'* the same type of fuel line connector on my L67 fuel rail.

yes, thats right. i am still trying to figure what i should do about the line though, what i am thinking at this point is one of these where it transitions to metal.

CARQUEST - Product InformationORMAN QUICK DISCONNECT Fuel Line Compression Union - Adapts Nylon Tube to Steel Tube - Size: 3/8", 5/box, sold by each
CARQUEST - Product InformationORMAN QUICK DISCONNECT Fuel Line Repair Kit - Connects 3/8" steel line to 3/8" barbed hose fitting with compression nut, 1 kit

and cutting out the kink, droping down the tank so i can get a better grip and using something like this
Dorman 800-011 Fuel Line Rep Kit 3/8 Union : Amazon.com : Automotive Dorman 800-011 Fuel Line Rep Kit 3/8 Union : Amazon.com : Automotive
