if the thing cycled either you fixed it or that wasnt the problem, that code can come from any obstruction or leak in the line, canister full of raw fuel, the pressure sensor itself, etc..

the cel is not going to go away right away unless you reset the light, since you said you went to AZ i am assuming that wasnt done, it will take several drive cycles without a code reader reset before it even checks again.

Ok, I found the part at Napa for $32.00. I will just order it and put in
a new one in just in case. I'll see after driving it for a while if
the light goes out. If not, maybe I'll just take it to the local shop. They
state if you bring you're vehicle in and they don't resolve the issue, they
will continue to work on it at no charge till It'* fixed.
I guess I don't know enough about it to continue to
trouble shoot it. I don't have the equipment to reset the light either. I asked Advanced
Auto and they said they are not allowed to.

i think any one who has a newer car should have their own reader, even if you dont really work on it your self it will save you money in being ripped off at the service station, which you hear of more and more these days. if you had one you could clear the code, then drive it and see when the evap monitor goes ready then you would know if you fixed it. if youve got a smartphone theres an app for $5 and a obd adapter for 30. scanners are coming down too you just have to make sure they are CAN for gm'* after 06

Yes, I have an Android is there an app for that and cable?
Do you know what app it it? Or do you recommend a unit? I will buy one.
So I called the dealer this AM, there is a new redesigned replacement of that
vent valve. $72 plus a new jumper for $32. I am going to pick it up at lunch
and put it on tonight. I can order a code reader just not sure what unit
to buy. I currently own an 03 Bonneville and this 07 Tahoe.

the app is called "Torque" i just got it myself, the full version just because i didnt want any issues. you also need a obd2 to bluetooth adapter. this is the one i got because it ships from ohio expedited. he shipped fast too. the app does way more than check and clear codes, live data, mpg, etc... im very happy with it.

I'll check it out... I actually just picked up the part from the local GM
dealer. It is redesigned.... I also ordered a code reader from Amazon, it had a lot of
good reviews. Will get the new part installed tonight. I hope it fixes my issue.
I do appreciate all your advice and support!

Well I thought I had it, but I guess not. Emissions light came back on last night.
Any idea what else I can look into myself?
