2000 Impala LS sideview mirror problem
The electric sideview mirrors do not work only in moving them downward.... up, side to side all work..... so I thought, ah, switch problem...... got a new switch and wouldn't you know it...... didn't fix it, and the same problem existed...... any ideas on what'* going on that both mirrors don't move downward..... wiring problem? If so, how do you go about finding the problem?

Well, you definitely need a schematic......does this have the memory option, where a memory seat/mirror module would be involved?
The fact that they move up. means wiring to the motors and the motors themselves are ok......the voltage to them is not being reversed.......
So we know the switch has been replaced....if the wiring from the switch to a module is open, or the module is bad, this could be your problem.....
If this does not use a module, it does not make sense that both mirrors would fail at the same time, in the down position......
