Default 03 CTS with "Reduced Engine Power"

a friend of mine have a 2003 CTS
he keeps getting the error "Reduced Engine Power". When this happens the gas pedal becomes useless, and the car would come to a stop till he scans and clears

he scanned it and he keeps getting the following codes:
P2119
P0700
P2176
P1779
P1795

when he clears them, the car runs better than it ran the day they made it

he went to few local mechanics and to Cadillac itself more than once, he was biased few times and told to change the following, which he did but it didnt fix the problem
front O2 sensor
rear O2 sensor
spark plugs and wires
and cleaned the MAF anf throttle body

going to the dealer is becoming very expensive, he finally decided to ask around..
any suggestions

all of those seem to be related to throttle blade performance, either binding or needs to be cleaned better. or needs to be replaced

Boy, your going to make me work

P0700 Transmission Control system malfunction, could be the neutral swtich
P2119 This appears to be a limp mode
P2176 This appears to be a TPS code of some kind. Minimum Throttle Position Not Learned
P1779 Engine torque delivered to TCM signal Looks to be a trans code.
P1795 Appears to be another trans code, can be the shifter cable sticking, the solenoid park,or the valve body.

Basically, there seems to be a transmission problem. Start with testing the throttle position sensor, and check the shifter cable. It seems like something is out of adjustment. The PCM goes in to limp mode and tries to protect it'* self.

It'* hard to say, the codes are mostly the trans. however, if the TPS is off, that could cause down stream issues, and that very well could be the case. That'* why i said start with the TPS. I'm not sure why it was recommended he change the parts he did, none of those seem to be related to the codes. Remember, the PCM expects everything to be within the set points. So if the TPS is off, then all other calculations will be off causing the limp mode. I hate to say, swap the TPS, but that will tell you if it'* the problem, otherwise you can use my test method I have in tech info here. however a DVOM may not show a small error.

On the throttle body, it'* what tells the PCM what the throttle butterfly is doing.
